ABOUT US
The struggle of weight gain and worrying about meals or diet has been a major concern for some college students because we don't have proper information to guide us on how to achieve a healthier lifestyle or just don't know where to start. Foods2Choose is a website dedicated towards not only students at UCSD, but individuals looking to get more tips on how to maintain a healthier lifestyle. There are multiple misconceptions regarding the cost of living a healthy lifestyle. For instance, people believe that buying healthier foods and grocery shopping is expensive however eating out costs twice as much and includes twice the amount of calories versus a home cooked meal. On this website, you can access a variety of different tools such as diet tips, different features to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle, cooking recipes, meal planning, and healthier options to choose when eating out at restaurants.
The goal and focus of Foods2Choose is to educate individuals on how simple eating healthy can be and to educate individuals on how eating out, no matter how "healthy" your meal sounds, contains hundreds of calories that could easily be cut in half by cooking at home. We break down menu items and inform readers on which options at specific restaurants would be the best in order to ensure your meal is nutritious as well as low-calorie. Foods2Choose is here to guide students into feeling their best and living their healthiest lives. Though it requires some motivation on your end, my website is here to guide you reach your best and healthy self!
