nutritionist

The greatest part is that students can visit a nutritionist on campus for free if they have U-SHIP! This is a great resource that I highly encourage all students to take advantage of. Students can receive care from a professional R.D. at no cost at all! So for those of you who still feel like they haven't been seeing the results they want, don't feel good, or are unmotivated, this is the perfect solution. The nutritionists office is located on campus which is great because students who live on campus can visit without worrying about commuting.

Visiting a nutritionists office is a great way to understand which diet is best for you. Everyone's body is different therefore there is no gold standard diet that guarantees everyone who follows it will lose weight or get the results they want. Aside from weight loss, another great reason to visit a nutritionists office is to better understand how to eat healthier based on your body.

Before visiting the nutritionist, you will be required to fill out a diet assessment form, similar to the photo on the left. On this assessment, you must log the contents and portions of all your meals for the previous 3 days before your appointment. This will allow the nutritionist to get a better understanding of what your diet is like in order to give you a better meal plan.

Another highly important message to share is that you don't have to be someone who's overweight or looking to lose weight in order to visit a nutritionist. Students who suffer from eating disorders are highly encouraged to seek help by visiting a dietician or seek medical attention in order to ensure their body is getting the proper care it needs to survive.
