POKE 1 1/2
Fish as we know it is an excellent source of omega 3's, minerals, is low calorie. This restaurant is a perfect spot for sushi lovers or pescatarians. Located by Ralph's on La Jolla Village Drive, Poke 1 1/2 is one of the best poke cafes in La Jolla.
Similar to other restaurants mentioned, Poke 1 1/2 offers customizable poke bowls that are high in nutrients while remaining low in calories. Bowls can be made with either rice or salad, along with fish, toppings, and sauces.

Rice ranges from 288-320 calories depending on whether you order white or brown rice whereas the salad mix is only 14 calories. In this case, the fish and toppings are so low in calorie that it's safe to choose the carbohydrates as your base while still keeping your meal under 500 calories maximum.

As we can see, all the fish aside from salmon are extremely low in calorie, with very low grams of fat. Although the salmon is higher in calories compared to other fish, it's a great source of omega-3s.
Next, we move on to toppings. Every one of the toppings, aside from avocado, are under 50 calories which is great! In addition to this, there is almost little to no grams of fat. Poke 1 1/2 offers a wide variety of different greens that are nutritious and a tastey topping to add to your order.
Finally, the sauces offered are spicy mayo or ponzu which are both 40 calories. Now, if you choose to get your meal with rice, your net calories may come out to around 600 versus 415 if you choose a salad base. Regardless, the meal is low calorie and you can always opt for a lighter dinner if you eat a heftier lunch and vice versa.
